Jennifer Thursfield ACA

Managing Director and Resident Tax Specialist at Thursfields

Jennifer is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience bringing a wealth of knowledge, expertise and a friendly down-to-earth approach to Thursfields.

Known for her refreshingly straightforward manner, Jennifer believes in keeping things simple, cutting through the jargon and offering honest, practical advice without the unnecessary fuss. Much of her time is spent working behind the scenes on client matters, attending meetings and helping to ensure the business runs smoothly.

Outside of work, Jennifer is a proud mum to two beautiful girls, along with her much loved cat Johnny, the original Doggo Feather and the newest addition S’mores who is definitely keeping her on her toes. When she’s not spending time with her girls, you’ll often find her playing netball, hitting the gym, or coming up with her next crazy challenge to get stuck into!

A proud Potteries girl at heart, Jennifer has strong family connections to the pottery industry, dating back to the eighteenth century and including Wedgwood in Barlaston, where her father spent his working life.

Rachel Holmes MAAT ACIPP

Payroll Manager & Head of Self-Assessment Services

Rachel is a qualified accounting technician and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Payroll professionals, with over 25 years’ accounting and tax preparation experience. Rachel expertly runs the payroll department at Thursfields, as well as preparing VAT returns, Self Assessment returns, unincorporated accounts, and Making Tax Digital Submissions.

Outside of work, Rachel has 2 beautiful ponies, Annie and Ted, and a tortoiseshell cat called Miss Havisham. When Rachel’s not at work, or looking after her animals, you will find her somewhere on her travels, in the UK or abroad exploring new places on foot or by zipping around on her motorbike.

Kerry Hooker MAAT

Accounting Systems Specialist & Head of Corporate Services

Kerry is our accounting systems specialist at Thursfields and is certified with all the leading accounting software providers. She completed her training within an audit firm and is a qualified accounting technician with over 12 years’ accounting experience. Kerry supports new businesses, looks after our incorporated clients and also deals with all things VAT related.

Outside of work, she is mum to her little boy, Leo, and enjoys spending time with her two doodle dogs and cat. Whenever she gets a very rare five minutes, she loves settling down with a good chick flick (or just anything other than Bing or Mickey!).

Teresa Hollinshead

Bookkeeper

Teresa is our bookkeeper and brings over 20 years’ bookkeeping experience across a variety of industries. She supports the team with day-to-day bookkeeping and helps ensure our clients financial records are kept accurate, organised and up to date.

Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and walking in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside.

Tanya Cliffe

Office Administrator

Tanya is our office administrator at Thursfields and provides support across all areas of the practice including client onboarding, AML administration and general day to day office operations. She is currently studying towards her AAT level 2 in Accountancy as she continues to develop her skills within the firm.

Outside of work, Tanya enjoys exploring the UK in her touring caravan with her husband, Dan, and their much loved naughty Springer Spaniel, Mr Fred.
